Love your memories. They always strike a chord with me because of the Arkansas roots, I suppose. My grandfather was an accomplished hunter and fisherman and he shared those skills with his sons and grandsons. Hunting stories are celebrated and repeated at family gatherings. Sometimes they become a little more grandiose as the years go by. I was the only granddaughter in our family for many years. Naturally, I always tagged along with the boys. I was a great target shooter and went hunting with my cousins, but quickly realized I just didn't have it in me to take an animal's life. But I loved being in the woods, seeing the animals and the camaraderie. Alas, I never became a hunter, but I'm thankful I got to be a part of the sport for a while.
